where to put downloads

If you are not sure where to put your downloads once you have them on your computer, please follow these guidelines:

  • - If it’s a .package file you have downloaded then unzip it to your MyDocuments/EA Games/Downloads folder.
  • - If it’s a .sims2pack file you have downloaded then unzip it first and then doubleclick the .sims2pack file. It is automatically installed to your MyDocuments/EA Games/Downloads folder.
  • - You can make subfolders inside of the Downloads folder to organise your downloads, the game will still read them.
  • - To enable re-textured objects in the game, you need to install the ColorOptionsEnabler .package (CEP). See links in footer under “be creative”.
