moroccan medina candles

I really enjoyed making these although there were some hiccups along the way due to the candles & flames but they turned out pretty well in the end, I think. =p

I have modified these lights, so that they can be placed on fireplaces & will not burn if the fireplace is used.

I hope you like! =)

For people wanting to recolour:

If you want to clone this object as a base for a different model of a lamp you made (if you’d like your lamp to be placeable on a fireplace, for example), then feel free to do so but please link back here and give me credit for the base file.

Two parts are recolourable. The glasses are seperately mapped on a single uv map, so like my multi-colour version, you can make other multi-colour versions too. The mesh is not using the glass texture in the file, it is using definitions in the MatD (txmt) for the colour of the glass, so if you open the package to recolour them and want to use a TEXTURE instead of changing the colour values, you will have to change the line: stdMatBaseTextureEnabled: false to true in the MatD once your recolour package has been created. The idea with seperately coloured glasses came later, so I had to add the values that are necessary to make this object’s glass capable of using a texture. The metal part is a seperate subset and can also be recoloured. I have used an alpha channel to make the arched pattern but you can recolour the metal part fully so that you have 2 completely round pieces around the glass. The candle itself & the flame cannot be recoloured.

Have fun =D
