where to put downloads

If you are not sure where to put your downloads once you have them on your computer, please follow these guidelines:

- If it’s a .package file you have downloaded then unzip it to your MyDocuments/EA Games/Downloads folder.
- If it’s a .sims2pack file you have downloaded then unzip it first and then doubleclick the .sims2pack file. It is automatically installed to your MyDocuments/EA Games/Downloads folder.
- You can make subfolders inside of the Downloads folder to organise your downloads, the game will still read them.
- To enable re-textured objects in the game, you need to install the ColorOptionsEnabler .package (CEP). See links in footer under “be creative”.

You need this so that some recolours of Maxis objects will be playable in your game.
